Plans are always in flux!
So far this year: Jan: Atlanta for a New Year's Eve party. Pres Day wkd – visited South Carolina house with friends. mid-February - NYC again February - Mardi Gras with friends (my first time to Mardi Gras, second to NOLA). March - visit house again with family - we are going to see the Savannah Home and Garden tour - they open up the various beautiful homes to tour... May for 16 days – Italy. This summer - Colorado to visit friends. I'm trying to talk my Dad into a trip to Normandy with me later this summer or September. He loves to walk battlefields. I was considering Scandinavia this year but with all the other little trips planned I'm whittling my vacation time down. October sometime - visit New Mexico again to go fly fishing with family members who live there. This will likely coincide with the Balloon Fiesta! This fall planning a trip to Peru (Macchu Picchu). Not sure of dates or length yet. There will most likely be other trips crammed into 2007. |
Wekiva,
I suppose it depends on where you are travelling from... If you live in europe, you can get flights anywhere else in europe for peanuts. Time is the problem, generally, not the cost! I would love to go to the states, but I would have to scrap most of my local travel to find the time (and money). Retirement is in 20 years for me too, but i'm going at 50!!! |
Good point Stumble...I keep thinking all of these trips originate in the USA...rather silly assumption.

Fun! Bowling getaway to Lake Geneva, WI this coming weekend (hey, a getaway is a getaway!), beginning of summer has me visiting my brother and family in Denver while hubby fishes in Canada and in September we have 17 glorious days in Slovenia. Anticipation is one of the best parts of the vacation process. All of these vacation/getaways sound wonderful. Everyone have safe travel and come home with terrific memories! Shirley, Waukesha, WI
