What to pack?
I know that this topic is a frequent one that quite often refers to summer holidays so isn't quite relevant to mine. I want to know exactly what to pack because I have a packing phobia so it is hard.
Will be away from home for 26 days in Paris, Amsterdam, Edinburgh and London amongst other places with 3,4 and 5 day stops. I would like to look smartly dressed for both day and night. Planning indoor and outdoor experiences as well as night entertainment. The weather I believe is around 12 C.
Exactly what does a lateish 40s not so slim lady pack?

www.ricksteves.com great packing info
www.onebag.com great tips for me
I pack lightly lots of layers

Avoid garish tourist garb bermuda shorts caps koulats etc.
insuremytrip.com always wise.

Are you going to stay somewhere where there is a washer/dryer? If not can you take time to build a "wash" afternoon? That will help. Other wise you will have to either handwash or pack a ton of clothes.

If your trip is soonish - which 12C would imply bring something warm for the evenings as the temperature drops quickly after the sun has set if it is at all clear. But the temperature can rise to as much as 20C too around now, or be as low as 4-5C, so layers are required. Also something waterproof.
Otherwise things which are easy to wash and dry quickly is a good idea.
Qwovadis obviously hasn't observed the average European lady of 40 something who is not so slim .
