Flunch is a cafeteria. I think they're found in several cities, but I've only eaten at the one in Rouen. They're about the closest you'll get to American food besides Mcdonalds.

It depends on whether I am eating out or brown-bagging it.
........
Oh, there is also a French based company of that name which makes a business of coordinating en-route meals for tour groups.

Flunch, as I have encountered it, is a cafeteria-like restaurant usually located next to supermarkets. You know those tiny shopping centres where the main thing is really the supermarket but there are also a handful of other shops.

Food is reasonable, though not exactly local, but is of a reasonable quality and at a good price...

Kavey

I ate in one in Nice, right next to the train station. It was the worst meal Ive ever eaten in France.

Flunch is a cafeteria-style restaurant that offers various specials. The food isn't terrific, but it is okay and cheap. They are in Nancy, Strasbourg, and yes, Paris, but I do not remember where exactly. My phone card slipped out of my wallet, and one of the staff members actually went around to all of the tables to find the owner!
