Website with Path Status

Is there a website that will tell me what paths are open and which paths are closed?

Is this a world-wide list you are looking for?

Sorry - I didn't get a chance to finish off the message. I am wondering about the paths in the UK that were closed due to hoof/mouth disease. I haven't heard anything for awhile - a friend is planning to go over for a walking holiday and wanted to check beforehand.

Your friend should be fine - the government finally toned down all hoof and mouth (we call it foot and mouth) restrictions in the last week. I don't believe there's been a single reported case of foot and mouth for over a month

Hope they enjoy their walking holiday
Andrew

A good starting website is the Ramblers Association, http://www.ramblers.org.uk/info/walkwatch.html

They are claiming over 90% of footpaths are open, with significant closures in Cumbria, southern Scotland and Brecon Beacons in Wales.
