Virus Warning

There's a very speedy virus going around this morning. The subject matter is "ILOVEYOU". If you receive any email with that subject, do not open it, immediately delete it, turn off your computer and wait for 5 minutes then reboot. We've had many cases of it here in Northern California as well as hearing about big problems in London, Hong Kong etc. Good luck!

This one is for real. Heed the warnings. The network guys here in the Terry College are busy right now setting up a barrier on the mail server and trying to alert the faculty that this rascal is out there. Unfortunately it has already done some damage; they just are not sure how much.

Our Outlook servers have been down all day (thats well over a thousand staff affected), same for my sisters company also in London.

The radio estimated 10% of UK companies have been seriously affected, probably those that werent were not using Outlook as their email system....

Kavey

I have received dozens of these messages today from people I do not know. They have come into another mailserver I use OUTLOOK EXPRESS, but not this one or any others I use.
It is recommended to DO NOT OPEN IT...DELETE IT IMMEDIATELT, THEN ALSO DELETE IT FROM YOUR "TRASH" OR "DELETED ITEMS FILE". I AM IN TEXAS AND IT IS ALL OVER THE RADIO & TV STATIONS ABOUT THIS TODAY.

We were hit also, and our techies immediately sent out the prevention and cure. Of course (and this is the God's honest truth), I received several of the infected emails FROM the techies.

It's one of the big stories on the news! This one seems to be quite a big one and we all need to be careful.
