UK Trains running Easter? NEED HELP!

My daughter has to travel from London to Edinburgh on Easter Sunday, but when we go to the train schedule websites and enter the date , it only gives us schedules for Monday the next day. Do trains not run on Easter in England? I can't find anything mentioning that. Just that on Sundays there are fewer trains.

Can someone out there please help us out.

Thanks
Tim

What website are you using? The National Rail website shows hourly trains from London to Edinburgh. They leave from Finsbury Park because Kings Cross is closed that day.

THANKS!
I tried http://www.britrail.net/eur/index.html
which I think is the same as http://bahn.hafas.de

Not sure why it shows up on http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ and not the others..

Thanks again.

Tim

"Not sure why it shows up on http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ and not the others.."

Because National Rail is British based.

Just watch out for extrended travel times, "interesting" routes & buses half way through your trip as the Easter fortnight is one of the best times of the year for maintenance to be done on the rail system

The National Rail web site will show the exact details of services on your travel date. It will show amended schedules caused by diversions and will show if part of the journey is by bus. Trains from London to Edinburgh normally take between four and five hours - if it's showing a journey time of much more than five hours, then look to see the reason. The trains are run by GNER (www.gner.co.uk) and their web site should tell you what's happening.
