TripIt - Keep getting problem message with forwarded emails

I just signed up for TripIt after reading about it here. Many of my emails with trip reservation information are getting bounced back as having probems with format, etc. I did read the stuff about why there might be a problem, but it doesn't seem to make sense. I have some pretty straightforward emails from Italian B&Bs confirming reservations that keep getting bounced back. I eliminated the "FW:" that had been in the titles of some and sometimes that worked and sometimes not. Before I give up,can anyone who is a regular user give me some advice? It looks like a great tool if I can get it to work.

Not sure if this is where I should post this or if under travel tips forum?

Thanks for any help.

That can happen with the smaller hotels and most of the restaurants, but the app is still worth it for the way it can import airline, train, and car rental info. I just enter in the details that it doesn't import, and it is a great framework for generating and sharing your complete itinerary. If you enter in data for all the fields, it can give you directions, tally costs and more. If you have a portable digital device (iPod, etc) download the app, and if you remember to sync at home first, you'll have all that data at your fingertips.

Thanks for your speedy reply, cybertraveler. Guess I didn't understand that the app only supports certain things. It did work great for the airline and car rental emails. Most of the time we're staying in small B&Bs in Italy so guess not. I thought it would save any email with trip information.

I've been using Excel worksheets for several years now for itinerary information. Will have to log on to Tripit again to see what fields you are talking about...I was just trying out the feature where you forward emails to plan@tripit.

Thanks!

Major hotels, airlines, rental car companies will be forwarded. You have to manually enter BnBs, restaurants, activities, tours which is very easy to do. See ADD+
The info you forwarded will still be there but not listed on your itinerary. We always use TripIt for our itineraries. Easy to forward to family members too.

Hi happy, I use Tripit, as well, but haven't figured out a way to save an offline map. Do you know if that is possible? I know it saves a link, but then you have to have wifi or data.

Hmmm...still wondering if it might just be easier to continue to use my Excel spreadsheet, which has all my info on it. Most of our reservations are for small B&Bs. Thanks for all the advice, though. I've already got this information saved and entered and can send the file to my family.
