Train from Salzburg to Innsbruck?

Restaurant car trains leave Salzburg at 0622, 0831, and then every two hours to 2031 and take two hours ten minutes through beautiful scenery to Innsbruck. Parag in Mumbai is right: the trip via Zell am See takes you through mountains, while the direct trip for which I gave times runs through Bavarian meadows. Both routes are beautiful, but that via Zell am See is the more dramatic. I think Parag may be using the valuable Thomas Cook European Timetable. The current edition shows these trains. Another vote for the scenic route outlined above by Parag and Ben. O.K. it takes an hour or so longer, but it really is worth it, and I've done both routes a couple of times. If I ever do it again, I plan to break my journey for an hour or two at Zell am See, as from the train windows it looked like a nice place to wander around and have lunch by the lake. I would expect there are luggage lockers at the station to dump the gear in.
