Timberbrush or Rabies Overnight Tour to Lochness/Iverness ?
Just trying to decide between these two tour companies for an overnight bus tour to Lochness and Inverness. I am traveling with my 27 year old son, and I am in in my 50's. Timberbrush stops overnight in Ft. William, and Rabies stays in Iverness. Anyone been on either of these overnight trip recently ?
Any thoughts ? Thank you very much for your help.

No real difference in the quality of the tours/companies. But I'd lean to Rabbies because they are smaller groups in small vans.
Where they stop is of no matter since they are merely practical, convenient stopping points w/ a variety of accommodations - neither town is 'featured', you just sleep there and hit the road the next morning.

don't get on any Rabies tours - you may need rabies' shots but Rabbies tours get excellent reviews from many Scotish experts on Fodor's - that's all I know about them but that's a good endorsement IMO.

I've taken a few tours with Rabbies and a few other companies. I believe Timberbush is also a small minivan type bus too. The only overnight tours I've taken were with Rabbies. I like the guides/drivers and they have always been willing to stop unexpectedly if needed (random tea breaks or quick there's a rainbow).
On one tour we stopped overnight at Inverness and it was exactly as janis describes it. The sun was setting on the Castle but not enough time to really explore inside even with our hotel being close by. We ate dinner and then walked a bit but since it was getting dark we just went back to the hotel which was right across from the river.
