In a way I am glad I never ran, and in a way I wish I did. But when too many people participated, it became far too dangerous.

Not many spanish people are interested in bullfighting, people tend to think we spend our time talking about bullfighting and flamenco, but people talk about sports, cinema, music, gossip rather tham the archetype, so we spanish people do not cling to bull fighting. Of course some people like it, but many of them are not interested.

By the way, in Malaga we already know the toreros for the Feria from 11th to 23th of august:

And, today they talk about politics, still a novelty, and the rampant corruption. I always enjoyed the Feria de Malaga. Thanks for posting the cartel !

There was not one word said here that Spaniards sit and discuss the bulls or flamenco. Half the Spaniards I know, are thinking about the next joke, whatever the subject.

IMD - How very true !! but most people here don't speak enough Spanish to realize that.

Please note, there where officily 1,400,000,000 visivators to Pamplona for the fiesta, Allowing those without rooms to spend 300€ and those with rooms to part with an average 3,000€ `each, MECA will have collected somewhat around 310,000,000€>

think of how much more money they could take in if they also had dog fights - human gladiator fights, etc - if money is any reason to sponsor animal abuse and torture let's make it even more money - human gladiators may do the trick. Or maybe a running of gladiators instead of bulls? then once in the ring a fight to the death if fans give thumbs down.

Before you spew "facts" you should get it straight.
Dog fighting is illegal in all 50 states and is a felony in many states.
It is a felony in Louisiana.

Yes I copied Robert's remarks without looking at what was probably a typo.

PalenQ Jul 16th, 2015 10:50 AM

RioD - Yes I should have checked that and not just reporting what I heard that is some areas it was legal but no doubt not - perhaps not enforced but thanks for the correcto - Mea Culpa.

Yes kids, the number is 1.4 million! Still rather impressive.

Think of much money could be given for little puppies, if people didn't smoke dope in Amsterdam and gave it to charity.
