The really companionable town of Düsseldorf
Here's a photo-essay of my time in Düsseldorf - sorry, more relatives than a trip report should have but they're mighty cute, and the town was, surprisingly to me anyway, quite delightful:

There are plenty of cool buildings, riverfront views, and scenes around town.

I really love Du-dorf's Latin Quarter or whatever they call it in the Altstadt by the Rhine - lots of food joints, beer gardens, etc. And yes Du'dorf gets no play from foreign tourists but has its charms - the Ko is one of the world's swankiest shopping streets - home of the town's prestigious fashion industry, on a par with NY Paris and Milan i believe. And yes the riverfront is very very nicely re-done. Thanks for mentioning Dusseldorf, a town where i went on business for several days each year for years.
