Tennyson Home
Has anyone visited the Tennyson home, Aldworth House, Lurgashall? We have a PhD student with an interest in Tennyson who would like to see it. Is the home open to the public? Thank you.

Most Tennyson sites are in Lincolnshire, a beautiful but not very touristy county:

Hint: Folkingham is a good village to stay in...

There's also Tennyson Down on the Isle of Wight, named thus because he lived nearby for many years. The view from the top next to the monument is superb, as is the walking in the area.

Lots about Tennyson's time on the Isle of Wight at www.Faringford.co.uk.
I don't think you can visit the house, which is being restored, but there are cottages to rent, and the grounds to explore. Plus lots of info on the Lord himself.
