Stair climbing in Positano
Thinking of renting an apartment for myself and family in Positano in Sept. or October. Positano sounds great; however I am a bit concerned about all the steps up to the villa. Are the steps and walkways as tricky and/or steep in Positano as it looks.
Another thought, has anyone had a good experience in renting a villa there (we will be a family of four). Would appreciate the name if you know of one.

The steps are not particularly tricky but some areas are very steep. Of course, the higher the villa, the worse it gets. But you could take the bus from the center of town up to one of the two stops higher up (it then goes on up to Montepertusso). If you have very young children, I would advise against Positano unless you or your spouse are prepared to carry them quite a bit.

Unless you stay at sea level (very unlikely) you will be climbing stairs or climbing very steep walkways anyplace you go in Positano. To me Positano is a great day trip but certainly not a place to base yourself. You may think differently. Have a great trip anyway.

It is possible to rent a place with a minimum amount of steps, contact a good rental agency (or a few) and have them search for you.
I rented an apt. earlier this year with only about 20 steps, there would have been only a few steps to the bottom apartment.
The steps and walkways are not tricky - just plain ole' steps and walkways.
