Specific Paris Metro Question

I will be arriving in Paris At Gare de Lyon and need to take Metro to Gare St. Lazare.
My metro map shows a Black metro line which appears to leave from Gare de Lyon and travel to Gare St. Lazare.
Is this the train that I should look to take that ends at Grande Arche de la Defense?
It appears I dont have to transfer between trains. I will be trying to make a train to Caen so don't want to screw things up;-)
Thanks for any input.

My Metro map does not show a direct connection between Gare de Lyon and St. Lazare. The way it looks on my map is that you take Metro line 7, the Meteor Route, to Madeleine, and change to line 12 in the direction of Port de la Chapelle. The next stop from Madeleine is St Lazare. Or, you could take Line 1 in the direction of La Defense and change at Concorde to the same line, #12.
Any verification of these route??
I have not actually done that route on the Metro, instead, bus and taxi.

Bob is almost right. It's the line 14 in direction Madeleine. Change at Madeleine to the 12 in direction of Porte de la Chapelle. St Lazare is the first stop after Madeleine. As bob said the other option is the #1 to the #12, but the first option is better. The #14 is the newest, fast metro and will get you to Madeleine from Gare de Lyon in about 7 minutes or so. Have fun!

If you don't want to change trains and don't mind walking a little, there's always the RER line A. You pick it up right at Gare de Lyon, direction St. Germain en Laye, get off at the Aubder stop. Gare St. Lazare is connected to this station if you keeping walking underground.

I found a neat website with info on Paris and other metros/subways. It's called subway.com. Check it out and see if it verifies the info given here by posters.

I'm interested in the newest metro line that one poster mentioned, apparently the 14. Is that the meteor line? It's supposed to have some really interesting stations. Have you been in these new stations? Are they worth going out of your way to see? Which are the best? Thanks for any info you can share.

Julie: not sure what you mean with "interesting" metro stations. Line 14 runs from Bibliotheque Francois Mitterand to Madeleine. A very short line incidentally. The library might be interesting to visit (I suppose one can) and the Stade Bercy for concerts, but not particularly for the neighbourhood. The area around Gare de Lyon isn't bad either. Beware of the Chatelet stop though. A nightmare, if you are not familiar with.
PS: I use www.subwaynavigator.com (or www.ratp.fr for Paris). Your link sent me elsewhere.

Thanks for the correction on my link. You've identified the correct link. I find it very useful. by interesting metro station I meant the interior of the station itself. I read an article in Bon Apetit I believe that showed a picture of a new station on the meteor line that looked very space age. Just wondering what the name of that stop might be.

Julie: As said above, it's a line with very few new stations. It's most probably the Bibliotheque FM stop (terminal). The library itself is of modern architecture. I know the Bercy stop having gone to a concert at the Stade in December. Looked very modern and clean to me, but not space age.

Sorry about that error I made.
My map has two green Metro lines that go close to the stations involved in this question. I traced the wrong green line. I need a larger Metro map or a magnifying glass.
But Kelly got the right answer for all of us.
