Looking for Michelin Maps 332 & 340. Can anyone recommend a place to order these other than Michelin?

Try amazon.com or Google Michelin--lots of options come up. We bought our HEAVY Atlas routier and touristique from Michelin's US supplier. Quickly realized it took about half our luggage allowance (exaggeration). We used it for planning but left it at home. Should have purchased specific maps like you're doing but as we're moving eventually, we will be glad we have it.

We have the large atlas, and like you said, it's really too much when you are only going to be in one area. The two maps I listed are for the Provence area, and recommended in the Rick Steves guide. They are not easy to find, and I hate paying almost twenty dollars on Amazon. The 340 doesn't even come up online...

Barnum, the World of Maps store in Ottawa stocks the complete collection of Michelin's Local series. I have dealt with them off and on over the past several years and have found them completely reliable. They will mail maps to most any address in the world.

If you put "France Local 332" and "France Local 340" in the "search this site" box, you'll get a link to both of the maps you are looking for.

Those Local series are great maps, by the way. I have about a dozen of them now for different parts of France. They are wonderfully detailed.

if you can find the ISBN numbers for the maps you want, do a Google search and I'm sure somebody will be selling them cheaply.

i had issues finding michelin maps before heading to france last fall. i was able to get my hands onto a 7-series (or maybe a 5-series) and that was decent enough to plot my driving routes before the trip. when i got to paris, i headed to the FNAC and found a plethora of michelin maps ... and for way less than what i paid at home.

if you can deal with whatever you've been able to find up till now, my suggestion would be to wait until you get to france to buy the maps. even the local tabacs in the small towns had a wide selection of michelin maps.

Have decided to do that. Have a friend who works with Rand McNally, and they do not sell this particular series. Likewise ADC Map stores informed today that Michelin does not distribute these maps in the US anymore. Thanks for all your help as usual...

A word of advice: try to buy the maps you need before you get to the area covered, where they are often sold out.
