I am looking for a small group trip to Ireland. I know about Odysseys Unlimited and Overseas Adventure Travel, but does anyone know of any other really good tour groups? We are four active people in our 60s and early 70s.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Hi, I will be taking a small group tour, 6 - 7 people on August 28 to Sept 4, all that I have read sounds wonderful, have talked to people who have taken this tour and they all loved it. Here is hoping I do too. The tour is centered in the West of Ireland based in Sligo. www.wildwestirishtours.com
During our travels in Ireland we've come across the small vans of this tour and chatted with the people.
It seems like a nice way to go and we may consider it when we no longer want to drive ourselves.

We travel independently in Ireland but on a recent trip we met a group of ten people who hired a driver/guide. Sorry I can't provide website but it was called Vagabond Tours--you can google for information. The vehicle was a large Range Rover (seats reconfigured to bench style) that accommodated the group and a small trailer held the luggage. They had no regrets and were having a wonderful time and were very happy with the hotel arrangements.
We are leaving for Ireland in one month. There are 6 of us traveling, same age group as you and your friends. We are using Ireland Chauffeur Travel. Originally, there were 4 of us, but we recruited another couple which made it slightly more affordable! We told them where we wanted to go, what kind of places in which we wanted to stay. They developed an itinerary based on this.
We return September 22nd. I will report back on the details!
