Shuttle-Inter question - leaving CDG.

I have reserved Shuttle-Inter (based on gracejoan3's recommendation!) for our arrival in Paris on May 29th. I filled out the form, and put the arrival time as 8:45 am, which is when our flight arrives (they asked for other details like the airline and flight number). They confirmed the time and it is 55€ for the two of us.

Does that mean they will be there right at 8:45, or do they allow some time for retrieving bags and such. I just don't' want to be charged waiting charges, or anything like that.

Thanks!

They will allow time for your to go through customs and pick up luggage (if you have checked bags) so they should be there waiting for you. We used Shuttle-Inter when we visited Paris in March. We were actually a bit early for our pick up, as it only took us about 20 minutes (go figure ...) to get through customs and get our checked baggage. Driver arrived at pick up point at the same time we did. So, even though we were "early", he was too ...

Van was new and immaculate. Driver was very nice, helped with bags, spoke English and gave us a "mini-tour" as we were driving from CDG to our rental apartment. There will be no waiting charges. Didn't use them for return to CDG as we took TGV directly from Reims to CDG to go home. We were totally satisfied with our experience.

You are charged a flat rate..time not involved. They need flight # airline etc, so they can follow your flight for arrival..early, late etc. They will be there with your name on a sign.

Send them an email the day or two before leaving to reconfirm.

I am in Paris now..been here for a month. Leaving on Wed. I reconfirmed yesterday for my pickup.

Have a good trip.

We had same experience this April. The driver met us with a sign as soon as we exited baggage claim. On return to CDG they picked us up at 5:00 a.m. to deliver us for our early a.m. flight.

We also used the service to drive us to Versailles the day we arrived in Paris, then over to Disney for a day, before returning us to Paris. Again, they did all we asked and on-time. We've recommmended the service to friends who were also pleased with their services. There are no waiting charges for airport service-the fee is flat, though we paid them to wait while we toured Versailles.

Enjoy your trip.

Our plane was a half hour early getting into CDG two weeks ago, and the driver was waiting for us. I wonder if they check online to see if planes are early, late, etc., since they do ask for the flight info.
Recommend the service!

Hello jenblase - I just used ShuttleInter in March. My flight was THREE hours late and yet the wonderful driver was there waiting for us. No extra charge (though the driver did receive a big tip for his trouble).

On the way back to CDG, the same driver arrived at the apartment ten minutes early - the first time that has happened! I adore ShuttleInter and will be using them for every trip in the future.

My mom and I just used this service for our trip to Paris last week.
The driver was waiting for us as we landed and was 10 minutes early for the trip back to CDG. Please keep in mind it is cash only. 55 euros. I was very happy with the service and would use it again.

It was a great discovery when I found them They have given us all great service and it works well for them and for us. I constantly tell them how much we appreciate them. I also send some messages to watch for friends arriving by name and date and to take good care of them.

Do tell them when you are a happy and repeat customer. It will get you a discount!

Bound to run into a problem somewhere along the line. In fact on my arrival they told me that there had been a last minute change in arrival gate for one flight a few days before, which created a bit of a problem being a bit late for meeting the people. Not much you can do about that.

Let's keep enjoying and appreciating them!!

Sort of a general question.... How much do people tip a shuttle driver for prompt and courteous service?

Hi Jenblase,
We used Shuttle Inter last May and have them booked again for later this month. As all have stated above, they charge a flat fee, which is a pleasant alternative to queuing up for a taxi and unexpected traffic delays. We have been pleased with their service. EJ

Hello jenblase - I tend to overtip - but I gave the driver 15 euros on the way into the city and then 10 on the way back to CDG.

I know that's probably way too much but I used to work for tips...uh, at a restaurant, that is.

I mentioned this is my February trip report. We had booked Shuttle Inter and the driver wasn't waiting for us when we emerged from baggage and customs. I was a tiny bit irritated, but he was there is just about 5 minutes. I think it was irritating because I hadn't used them before, and everyone else reported a driver waiting for them outside of customs. Anyway, he was soon there, and it was all fine.

We can't remember how much we tipped. Sorry.

The inter shuttle is not a shuttle bus. It is a private vehicle for each group. They follow your flight for arrival times amd greet you as you depart security door. It is a fee for service..no meter running when/if you get in a traffic jam..that can get expensive.

There are many ways from the airport..for me, I am delighted to see my driver with my name on the sign, taking my luggage to a nearby vehicle and we are off..after a miserable flight!

Enjoy,

Joan

We would like to use this shuttle service for our trip in July. There are three adults travelling and I just like the ease of this service. Paris is the last stop of our trip (arriving from Italy) and I am not sure we will have the use of a computer. Is it necessry to reconfirm a few days before arrival?

By all accounts, including ours, Shuttle-Inter is very reliable. Nevertheless, I reconfirmed evry leg of our recent trip to Paris and environs. BTW, we booked the sevice months in advance. They contacted us before departure to europe to ask us to reconfirm our plans.

Enjoy your trip.

redlizzy,

I would confirm as late as you can with them and tell them at that time that you may not be able to contact them again before your pickup.

Have a good trip...

Thank you for the reassurances. I will reconfirm with them about 2 weeks before we need their services. This forum is wonderful, I read it almost daily. A big thank you to all who take the time to contribute such valuable information.
