jor, okay, okay. You had me wondering for a minute. My only social agenda is cheaper cheeseburgers and larger seats on planes.

Must have been sipping too much of my "special eggnog" - it makes me want to dance with wolves and howl at the moon!

Degas, I have no clever words to entertain you with, so I'll say it plainly, "Merry Christmas!" And may 2004 find you regaling us with more tales of you and the little wife and the adventures over the pond.

Bigger seats for Degas in the new year, and he will keep up his painterly ways.
To the little wife: Post to us if he is
giving you any grief!

Happy holidays to you too, Degas, and to all the Fodorites who I've met on-line and in person. May we all have peace and happy travels in 2004!

Well mele kalikimaka to you all but let's have some truth in advertising. Al Gore never said he invented the internet. He said he put in place the funding that made the internet possible. That statement was taken out of context. I have my own list of current whoppers that I'll defer for the sake of peace and harmony. But I do love the power of the internet, so thanks to any and all that made it possible. So there, and have a Merry Christmas one and all....

now what about that madcow disease in Washington?

Why Degas, thank you!
And merry Christmas to you, too!
A copy of Al Franken's current best-seller is on its way to you as we speak. Hope you enjoy this (much-needed, apparently) Christmas gift!

Degas darlin! Back atcha baby!

Everyone,, Happy Holiday's from North Carolina...you all have a 'nog for me! (A bit of backwoods advice..."Southern Comfort"...warms nicely between the egg and the nog...if ya know what I mean!)

Scarlett....are you celebrating a southern christmas yet? If so...turn the heat down and open the icebox...makes climitizing much easier!

Final question? Degas, honey...what did you get Ms. Degas this year and more importantly, what did ya ask Santa for this year????

Moi?? I asked for a new keyboard...my "z" key is broken....do you know that I must be the only person in the whole world that has worn out her "z" key. No one else ever seems to use that letter. Everytime I have to have that letter, I have to find one and cut and paste it. I can never find it on the web page I am on at the time (to cut and paste)...so I saved a "z" in a word document. When I am posting, I have to pull up that document and cut and paste. Santa...send me a new keyboard....please.....

May your day be bright and snowy....your tree be beautiful (I don't worry about that here in my neck of the woods...lots of trees..heck I gottem tryin to grow underneath my house..)... all your presents be many, double and triple wrapped... tight!

And please gosh...don't forget the pet treats...my baby Casey would never forgive me...that new mop head of my sisters(Shih-Tzu/Pekingese mix) would be eatin the christmas wrappings...and the cats would be climbing the tree..beside's you can always use them in christmas chex mix if you run low....

Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday's all!

I, too, would like to wish each and every one of you, my dear Fodorite friends, a Merry Christmas and Happpy Chanukah from the Dutch West Indies.

Thanks for the greetings, Degas.

Kalena, how sweet of you to remind me of three wonderful years I sent living on the beach on Oahu.

Visons of snorkling on Christmas Eve at Hanauma Bay and then having a massive "lunch plate" (two scoop a rice, Korean ribs, macaroni salad, Filipino Adobo, Teriyaki and Kimchi) at the L&L Drive-Inn on University Ave always runs through my mind at this time of year.

Mele Kalikimaka is the thing to say
On a bright Hawaiian Christmas Day

That's the island greeting that we send to you

From the land where palm trees sway

Here we know that Christmas will be green and bright

The sun to shine by day and all the stars at night

Mele Kalikimaka is Hawaii's way

To say "Merry Christmas to you."

I prefer Degas with a dash more PC. Reminds me of my dad's warmth and dry humor. (Except dad is a conservative Democrat.) But, I really can't stand when a man refers to a woman as "little," and I don't care if the woman is 4'2". If my guy ever tried that word with me, he'd find out how the heel of my Rockport feels up the side of his head.

Needless to say, I'm filled with Christmas cheer and with the family, again! All 32 of us! Didn't I just do this a month ago? Thank God I didn't forget my bottle of Grey Goose. I almost needed to open it at the airport. The fun of travel sure isn't at the airports these days. At least my dad remembered to buy the Cointreau. This may just be a happy one after all.

Best wishes everyone!

Degas, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year!

To Fodorites too!

A young woman reservist from our office was called up in March, and is serving in Iraq in 120 degrees temperature. She had to leave two small children behind(one only four months' old). Keep her in your prayers this Christmas season.

Please do not forget our military overseas.

Hi Degas

Merry Christmas and all the best in 2004. Don't change no matter if a few silly dingbats try to bash you. You make people laugh and they just look petty and jealous.

I would rather my husband call me his "little wife" than some other names I have heard wives referred to as..
Actually, I am a small person and his wife, so it is true in our case!
Meanwhile Degas is bigger than life and I want to Thank him again for all the laughs and great paintings!!
