Will be visiting father's home town of Emmendingen (Schwarzwald north or Freiburg) looking for accomodations. Traveling with wife and child (age 7) August 5,6 and 7.

Frankly, I had never heard of Emmendingen. I just did a google search for emmendingen germany and received several possible web sites. You might do the same.

Don't know why, but this town name Emmendingen was used over and over in the German Lessons I took when it came time to practice vocabulary. Guess I will have to go there some time.

By the way, the Schwarzvald is very nice.
