Schengen Visa

I am currently studying abroad in France with a Schengen Visa that is valid until January. Some friends and I are planning on taking a trip to Morocco for a few days which is outside the Schengen Zone. Does anyone know if it is possible to leave the Schengen zone with a US passport for a few days and will we be able to re-enter the Schengen Zone since our visas are valid until January? m

No problems whatever. You can even return home for Christmas and re-enter afterwards.

Just make sure your visa is good for multiple entries.

Type D is always multi-entry. Type C may not be.

As long as you have not exceeded your Schengen time, you can go anywhere you want and return to Schengen.
