Sceptre Tours?

Has anyone used Sceptre Tours? Haven't ever heard of them before but they seem to have some reasonably priced packages. Just want to make sure they are reputable. Thanks.

Hi Laura,
I have used Sceptre Tours to Ireland. Two of my sons have also used this company. Aer Lingus, rental car and vouchers for B&B to Ireland is the same package as Brandan Tours. Same Air line, same rental car company, same Town and Country and Farmhouse book. I don't understand why the price is so much lower with Sceptre.

I've been a travel agent for the last 14 years and I don't think I've ever heard of them before. It is not one I use. Good idea to see what affiliations they have and how long they've been in business before you send off your money.

I used Sceptre last year for a wonderful trip to Ireland. I was leary of booking with them because the deal looked too good. So, I had my travel agent do it. I printed the page found on the internet and gave it to my agent. She did the booking. No problems, Sceptre was great.

They currently have a deal for $499 for airfare & farmhouse vouchers for late fall. Has anyone used them & stayed in this category of lodging? Were the lodgings okay or should we upgrade to a higher category? We prefer a private bath. Do they include any places in the cities or are they all in the countryside? Do you book have to book your accomodations before you go? Thanks!

Cathy,
No need to upgrade. The farm houses are great. If you are in or near Ennis, Try Newpark House, it was built in mid 1600's. Large rooms Canopy beds.
I also stayed at Moher Lodge Farmhouse at the Cliffs of Moher, My favorite.
Check out http://www.irishfarmholidays.com/
Your vouchers can also be used at the Town and Country Homes, Sceptre just does not send you the book. You can do your research on line at http://www.townandcountry.ie/.
How can you go wrong with this trip. The airfare alone on Aer Lingus would cost more. I love Sceptre. Can't wait to go back.
