Mimi - I empathize with your shock and what you are going through. In some of my postings, I write about travels with my son. What has not been said that he was diagnosed with stage 3 lymphoma in his senior year of high school. After a year of chemo and many prayers of friends, many of whom were then strangers, he achieved remission. We celebrated 3 months after the end of chemo with a trip to Italy. He climbed Mt Vesuvius and got to the top way before I did!

I'm so sorry to hear this, Mimi. I feel like I know you from your posts and wonderful travel reports. Just try to stay positive - I'm a cancer survivor - so I know how devastating that diagnosis can be. At least you know you and your husband will be in the thoughts and prayers of many people.

Dear Mimi, I feel very badly for you and your family. Have faith in (whatever you believe) and in your medical team. I hope you'll be back posting as Cigalechanta and that your husband gets better soon. My thoughts are with you. Mary

I have some knowledge of how oncology works from the inside - if you need someone to translate Medical-speak (the ultimate language of obfuscation) into English, please drop me a line at [email protected]
