I've read a few posts on this board advising not to miss the Night Watchman tour in Rothenberg. I know that it starts at 8pm, but could someone advise some more detail about how long it takes and what it is actually is about? Thanks!

I would definitely not miss this if you're spending the night in Rothenburg. The guide was very entertaining and highlights different spots around Rothenburg. As I recall, it took and hour or so.
