Problem Booking One Italian Train Segment

I thought I was getting the hang of things having booked 3 train segments for September on TrenItalia and Italia Rail. I have booked 3 intercity segments: Levanto to Sestri Levanti, Sestri Levant to Camogli and Camogli to Genoa, all inter city trains between 9/17-9/22.
Now I am trying to book San Remo to Ventimiglia & Ventimiglia to Nice Ville for 9/24. Each site says I can't book it. I tried booking for a date within seven days and still it does not allow me to book.
What might the problem be? The other trains were booked two weeks ago.

It was not necessary to book these tickets online as the R trains are much more frequent than the IC trains and half the price with only about 10 minutes more travel time (all are only a few euro). You could have just shown up at the station and bought tickets for the next train departing and hopped on instead of waiting around for an IC train. That is what you need to do for the other tickets as they are R trains. R tickets bought online have restrictions that walk-up tickets don't. There is no advantage to buying them online as there are no reserved seats and no discounts.

You can buy them all at the same station (any train station in Italy - ticket machines or windows) or any tobacco shop with the Trenitalia logo. You can't buy to Nice on Trenitalia anyway, only to the border town. R tickets must be validated in the yellow machine before boarding.

Since you are so unfamiliar with Italian trains, you need to know that you will not really have time to sit down on these trains if you have luggage. Your rides are so short, you won't have time to get luggage to a compartment and up on the rack before you need to be getting off (IC trains have enclosed compartments). I just looked at the schedules and the trains stop for 1 minute at some of your stops. That means you have to be off or on the train in 1 minute while other people are trying to get off/on. Perhaps I don't understand what you are trying to do and you are staying in each of these towns?

The 3 train trips I booked are all IC We stay in Sestri Levante 3 nights, move to Camogli for 2 nights and take a train to Genoa to pick up a rental car. Any one know if its less hassle driving to the coast from Genoa downtown or airport (I dislike driving in European cities).
Following one suggestion here, we'll drive the old Italian Riviera, staying 2 nights in Alassio.
We'll drop the car in San Remo and hopefully, take a train to Ventimiglia and another on to Nice.
Can I buy train tickets for Nice once I'm in Ventimiglia? or what???

Yes since that is also a SNCF station, where shuttle trains along the French Riviera terminate - regional trains no reservations possible - just buy when arriving there and does not show up on trenitalia.com probably because is not an Italian train and these days it is often impossible to buy train tickets for other countries outside of the country IME.
