Does Priceline also offer flights and hotels for Europe? If true, has anyone tried this service and were you happy?

I'd be nervous about Priceline to Europe because airlines from Jordan, Albania, and other countries I want nothing to do with travel to Paris Rome London etc. I'd hate to get stuck on one of these. Smoking, body odor etc.

If I'm flying from California, would I run into a problem with scary foreign airlines? Or would they be putting me on airlines like United and Continental?

Stan, I checked BiddingForTravel.com. (This is the same site DB mentioned, by the way.)<BR><BR>There haven't been lots of reported successes for flights from California to Europe. There are three winning bids from the West coast region (LA, SF, Phoenix), and the airlines that were used were Delta, Air Canada, and Lufthansa.<BR><BR>Obviously, this is a tiny sample size. Priceline claims to have partnered with 20 well-known international airlines--whether any of these would be objectional to you, there's no way of knowing.<BR><BR>If the uncertainty is too much of a concern for you, I'd look somewhere other than Priceline. There are lots of deals out there right now for off-season flights to Europe. And you could still use Priceline for hotels, if you're so inclined.

I've used priceline in the US and have been happy with the results, but not so sure how well it would work in Europe. I'd be concerned about some of the airlines that they may put you on.

We have used Priceline for 3 or 4 trips to London and Paris over the last couple of years, including this past October. We have flown on Air Canada (required transfer in Montreal or Toranto) and I believe American Airlines or United. We have had no problems or issues. <BR><BR>Just make sure your dates are set, you'll not be able to get any type of refund or make any tye of change to your ticket. Also, they specify that you have be willing to travel between specific times of the day or night (it is spelled out on their web site).<BR><BR>We have been very happy with the results and would not hesitate to use them again.

Ditto to MarkJ's comments. Our family flew to Europe this summer using Priceline who booked us on US Airways. We had one connection each way...good service...no problems. I have used Priceline several times...and encouraged friends and family to use them too...haven't heard of any problems yet. You DO have to be very sure of your travel plans though because once you hit that "buy" key you are totally committed. Once you get over that mental hurdle its fun to brag about the GREAT fare you got!!

For hotels in the U.K., I just go directly to priceline.co.uk.
