Posting Information
To frequent posters, Elvira, Rex, Paulo, etc.
Is there a way to avoid entering your name and e-mail every time you post?? Seems there should be some kind of "macro" where you just hit one key for each entry. Ideas, suggestions?? I get sooo tired reading I want to conserve energy when I respond!!!!

This is a very good question. I used to always have to type the whole thing, but after my hard drive crashed and was replaced last year, somehow, this site remembered my postings. As soon as I typed P under name, my full name appeared. The same was true with the address. My hard-drive was replaced again recently (do I have good luck, or what???) and now it no longer remembers. How did that work for that interim period?

cut 'n paste:

To adjust AutoComplete settings

You can tailor the AutoComplete feature to save and suggest only the information you want. You can choose whether to use AutoComplete for Web addresses, forms, and passwords, or not use it all. And you can clear the history for any of these.

On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options.
Click the Content tab.
In the Personal information area, click AutoComplete.
Select the check boxes for the AutoComplete options you want to use.

Patrick, when your computer crashed, whoever formatted the new one (was it a work one?) had this set up for you. or, the first time you used it, (formatting) you answered a bunch of questions "yes" & didn't realize what you did...

just a hunch...

Beth
Beth, I don't get it. I did just what you said and found that all those things were already checked so just clicked OK thinking I'd still have the same thing. Now when I come back here, it does in fact remember with the first letter. No one will ever accuse me of being a computer nerd--I just don't get it. But thanks a million, somehow it worked!!!
