Hi Katis, there definetly has to be stores that sell plus size clothing in Rome. I say that as a family member in Rome wears plus sizes and never leaves Rome except to go up in the mountains in August. Sorry I don't have any specific information for you though. If you can't find information before your trip imagine your hotel could advise you or one of the clothing stores in Rome should be able to. Have a wonderful time in Italy!!

Here's the previous thread. It's mostly about Paris, but it mutated to include some Rome (my fault) and other places (not my fault
).

The answer - for me anyway - is Marina Rinaldi. They are part of the Maxmara group and have stores in Via Condotti and nearby Via Borgognona in the top shopping area in Rome.. Not cheap, but much much better than anything else I can get in the UK. (There is a shop in London but much better choice in Italy). Virtually all my clothes are from there. (I'm UK size 24 - Marina Rinaldi Size 29). Also nearby is Persona, the younger, cheaper range from Maxmara, and Elena Miro (another upmarket Italian chain which I personally don't like as much as Marina Rinaldi, but others probably do - they have a website so you can gat the address. Btw I was amazed to read that a plus size correspondent was worried about going to Milan - they have the best - in terms of selection - Marina Rinaldi anywhere, in Corso Vittorio Emmanuele. So for me it is clothes heaven! I try to go and stock up there in the spring whenever possible. There are Elena Miros there too.

Another shop you should try is Pitran Donna, it is on Via Merulana about one block from the Santa Maria Maggiore church. They have a pretty good selection and certainly do tons of advertising for plus size women's fashion, I am always hearing it on the radio in bella Roma...happy shopping!
