Plug adapters Italy
I know I have seen threads on this and tried a search however it is only bringing up information for 2009 and prior even when I adjust the date range of the search. We are traveling to Italy and have rented apartments. There are four of us and will each have a cell phone, I will have the camera and a laptop that need to be charged
everything is dual voltage and know I don't need a converter. I do need the adapters and wondered if anyone can share which they have and if they liked it / worked ok. I have read many reports where the outlets in Italy may not be the same through out the house and wonder if I need to get a two prong along with a three prong option.
would this be fine or should I also look at a two prong one? Would you suggest a different brand or type?

Thank you

I take a little USB plug also as many things can be charged that way. Mine has 2 USB ports so you can charge two things at once. I"m not sure they still make them, but Belkin as one with three regular plugs and two USB. This video shows it.

Jean,
These multiple outlet USB chargers require extra skill in reading the specs. The manufacturers are either sloppy or intentionally failing to state what it can/cannot do. There are many ways the total current can be "combined." It is neither obvious from the spec nor from postings based on anecdotal experiences involving hodgepodge of devices. They don't state clearly, if at all before buying, if the 2.1A can only be achieved with specific devices, such as iPad.
For example, take a look at this one: http://www.amazon.com/Kinivo-ACU210-...inovo+dual+usb
It appears to be a general dual USB with 2.1A capable charger. iPad reference only seem to added as an example of its use. Not so. It turns out the 2.1A is only achievable with iPad, iPhone, etc and not with other devices such as Android. With non-Apple devices, you only get 0.5A/port.

Mine looks more like this one. They didn't have the more compact version when I bought it. Yes, we've used it to charge two things at once.

I looked at mine. I was wrong. It isn't Belkin, it's Griffin. This one and the link says you can charge two things at once.
