plan B for Greece

I have been planning a 10 day trip for my family of nine to Greece this summer. Now I’m concerned in reading about the seismatic activity in Santorini, which was to be our first stay.
Our flights are into Athens, and then we have reservations to fly to Santorini shortly after arrival.
our plan was to fly to Santorini spend three nights, ferry to Paros where . We have rented an Airbnb for four nights and then fly back to Athens for the last two nights.
If we aren’t able to go to Santorini, where can we spend the first three nights. We would consider a place on the Aegean coast or another island.

I would hold off with changing your plans for a while. The situation may improve (or get worse), but if you’ve booked your flight to Santorini with Aegean Airlines Flex or ComfortFlex they allow you to change or cancel the flight without penalty. If you’ve booked with a different carrier you will have to check their own change/cancellation policy. It may turn out that with worried people staying away from Santorini, the island will be less crowded than in previous summers, and that would be a bonus for me.

We are also going to Greece for the first time in October, thankfully still a way away.

We are flying from Athens to Naxos then ferrying to Santorini. From what I have read, if something goes awfully wrong with Santorini, it will likely affect Naxos and other Cycladic islands too.

We are looking at a potential replacement for both Santorini and Naxos, just in case.
