Pisa - question!!
I went to get tickets to the leaning tower of Pisa for next Thursday, March 15th but because it was less than 16 days out, I was no longer able to get them.
Does this mean I will not be able to get tickets to go in the tower? Or can I still get them the day of?
THANKS!

You can buy tickets there, but may need to wait as much as two-three hours in high season. The queue can be very long
Because you are visiting in March you probably will have it a little better. When you arrive (hopefully early) go directly to the ticket booth.
I have heard that buying the tickets where you will need to check your bags is faster.
Do not arrive in the afternoon.

I went last September - Only a very short queue first thing in the morning. The ticket booth is in the long building parallel to the green where the gift stands are. You will know what I mean when you see it. Don't be late for your time slot to climb the tower.

This was the email I recieved... I'm just sick I didn't get the reservations online:
Dear Lisa,
Doing to our online system procedures(from 45 to 16 days ahead of time) the day your prefer is no more available:anyway, this don’t necessarily means that tickets for the entire day are sold out..Tickets cannot be reserved via fax, phone or mail.
It is not possible for me to give you with precision the ticket availability for that day and a specific tour,as it changes every minute, probably even now, while I’m writing to you..
What I can only suggest you is trying to buy them here at one of our ticket offices in the Square as soon as you arrive,in order to avoid a substantial delay (tour are limited and with restricted entry) in the effective tour time.
Ticket Officies open at 08.30 h.
