Flying into Pisa and picking up a rental to cover rural Tuscany and down to southern Italy. Wanted to go to the leaning tower but not with a car full of luggage. Suggestions?

Leave the bags at the left luggage at Pisa airport, take a local bus from just outside the airport up to the Piazza Duomo, then when finished take bus back to airport and pick up bags and car.

Good suggestion by above poster. Distance from Pisa Airport to the Leaning Tower (in the Piazza dei Miracoli) is about 2 1/2 miles.

I heard they have left luggage at train stations but had not heard of service at airport. Where is it located in relation to clearing customs? Thanks for the replies willit and JBX.

Here's a map of Pisa Airport:

On this page, it mentions that the information office also acts as a left luggage office:

As you leave the arrivals hall, the information office is directly to your right. It is next to the ticket office for buses and trains.
