Photos in Budapests Baths?
Hubby and I are off to Budapest for Easter and have a weird question. We are avid photographers...can we take pics inside the bath complexes? We dont want to look like creeps hahahaha...and dont worry, we dont want to take pics of people, just the architecture etc...
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Only the exterior and the lobby of the main building - not the baths themselves or the anywhere in that central area. That was one of the reasons I didn't go - didn't want to leave the cameras in a locker and didn't want to make a special trip there leaving the cameras at the B&B. I have seen pictures on line but they must be special permission or professional shots.

FWIW, the Szechenyi Baths building is quite beautiful, as well as the lobby. Here are 2 amateur photos I took last year:

I agree it's a beautiful building. I have some shots of the areas they allowed photos in in my Budapest gallery www.pbase.com/annforcier/budapest

Hey there...just got back from Budapest (will post a trip report shortly) and wanted to let people know that people were taking pics inside the baths. Not a lot, but some even had video cameras! Not sure if its allowed...we snapped a few quick ones cause it felt a bit wrong but did get a couple!

We went to the Szechenyi Baths last July and practically everyone was snapping pictures (us included) both inside and outside. These are not nude baths.
When we went to the Gellert Baths a few years earlier, bathing suits were not allowed and neither were cameras (thank goodness).
