Paris Travelers looking for consensus - hotels & must do's
This site has been so helpful. Rex, MichaelinParis & Suze all caught my eye, appeal to my stomach and have given excellent suggestions. Now, I'm left with the smutty part. BC my husband will be on business, our hotel is paid for. So sad for us but I must choose between Georges V, Crillon & Prince des Galles? Cast your vote BC they all look perfect! Also, must do either Moulin Rouge or Lido (waaaaah!). Again, cast your vote. And I'm sure we do NOT want the dinner package, oui?

Hi C,
>...I must choose between Georges V, Crillon & Prince des Galles?
They are so far above my wage grade, that I can't help.
> Also, must do either Moulin Rouge or Lido ...
Well, if you must, you must.
No, you don't want dinner.

Hi CJ,
My Lady Wife has reminded me that we have walked through the GV and the Crillon, as well as the Meurice.
You are not going to be unhappy with any of them.
You can look up the locations and tour the neighborhood at www.pagesjaunes.fr

I've never been to Paris..but the Crillon looks wonderful in the photos
For the cabaret..just flip a coin
If someone is willing to pay that for me, I will probably try to convince them that I would accept something cheaper for the hotel if they don't ask me to go to that cabaret thing

As for the caberet - if it's being paid for, go! I'd probably do the champagne and show rather than the dinner and show.
As for which one, it depends on which one interests you more. Moulin Rouge is older and certainly has an interesting history, but Lido has been said to be the better show of the two.
I found a link that will explain which show has what, so that you can make a decision of which one interests you more.

The information is still relevant with the shows.
Don't forget to have fun!
