I haven't read this thread super carefully yet but I'm wondering when the special Fodor's discount start at Paris Perfect. We certainly could have used it when we stayed at Champagne for a week in 2005 [I think].

Daph

This is rather recent, in 2008!

Enjoy...

<< click on the title to the thread at the top of the text - so on this thread you will click on "Paris Perfect Followers". The thread will re-appear exactly as before, but notice the URL will change. The "new" URL will have a long number at the end of it - like 123456789046443. >>

I had never noticed that before. Thanks Stu!

Then you can reduce that long url to short one by going to www.tinyurl.com
Enter the long one and they will then give you a tiny one.........

enjoy...

Gracejoan, you gave a link that's to a Yahoo mailbox. I don't think that's what you meant to do, although luckily it doesn't log the user in to your account.

gracejoan3 Dec 6th, 2008 04:43 AM

If you click on it you will have the newsletter. Click on whatever on it for further information...

Gracejoan - the link is no good. As WillTravel states, it just directs us to the Yahoo mail log-in page (like when you enter your passwords to pick up your Yahoo mail). That's all it is. Nothing to click on at all.

I think she meant to post this link to Paris Perfect's newsletter announcing a Goumet Getaway.;

Just to post a bit about our recent stay in the "Pomerol". A cute 1 bedroom apt. It has a nice trundle in the living room, too. A bath with tub/shower and sink and a bath with a toilet and sink. Makes it nice for places for 2 to use. Lots of storage. Eiffel Tower out corner window. Location on corner of r. Cler and Grenelle.

We then moved to the lovely brand new Cotes du Rhone (not on website). This is a large 2 bedroom with a bath with tub/shower and sink and a separate toilet sink to again have two separate places. Lovely kitchen with full size refrigerator, espresso, Miele washer/dryer and Bosch diswasher.Free calls to US and most other countries, WI FI etc. We have a corner window on Bourdonnais and Monttessuy that looks out to the ET and the Monaco Roayl Apartments of Princess Caroline across from us. She does not appear to be in residence.

Our other tread has all our adventures and pictures.

This new apartment is lovely, if you need the space of a 2nd bedroom. All the niceties that you know will be there when you have rented a PP apartment!

Someone on another thread was talking about Paris Perfect and what their current discounts might be for Fodor's. Since this thread is available, I thought I would put it here, too.

I did some checking and the current discount for Fodor's people is 15%!!

Be sure and mention it whne making a reservations. A good discount with the economic situation and along with the improved exchange rate.

Enjoy.....

LuckyLuc Jan 7th, 2009 04:55 AM

Wow that is great, if we are both on Fodor's and TA do we get 30%, or even more if we mention your name....

gracejoan3 Jan 7th, 2009 05:23 AM

LuckyLuc,

I think you are smarter than that....

The forums are to help people find good deals. I think passing on the 15% off to both Fodor's and Trip Advisor people is helpful information.

I know 15% off is meaningful to me.....

Enjoy...

gracejoan are you a ParisPerfect employee?

The ParisPerfect website states their strict minimal 1 week rental policy. Gracejoan, how did you manage to rent 3 apts in your short time frame? I'm just curious because I have asked them about renting 5-6 nights in the past and they have responded with a firm, "no".

They are nice apartments, but I think for the rates they charge, the bed sheets could be of better quality than the "Dan River 60/40%" polyester/cotton they have on their beds.

Goosedown pillows would be preferred vs. the cheaper ones on the beds. Robes would be a nice added touch also.

Their arrival/check-in process can't be beat though.

gracejoan3 Jan 9th, 2009 05:27 AM

No, I'm not employed by anyone..just enjoying my retirement.

Paris Perfect DOES now rent for less than a week, IF they have the space available.

Discounts change all the time with all of them..especially these days. When several people commented on the PP apts and what their discount might be, I checked with PP to see what it was. You won't find all the information on the websites..they can change too often. It is best to call and ask. Upon receipt of the information I passed it on to both the Fodor's site and the Trip Advisor site thinking people might be appreciative of the information. I remember last year of passing on a current discount and because of it Stu Dudley saved over $2000.00! He was pleased! I was pleased that I had helped him!

Isn't that what these forums are all about..passing on information to help one another??

Enjoy.....

I didn't respond to your other questions. I have always found their linens to be of fine quality. Yes, robes would be nice. I take one with me.

The general quality of the furnishings of their apartments is far above most, or so I have found in the ones that I have stayed in. The personal decorating touches are very nice.

The service is great in every way. Cleaning is not an outside service, but people employed by them.

I have enjoyed other apartments and hotels, but have found that the PP have everything that I like and are located where I like to stay..so why look further. That is my opinion, and what works for me.

I find that hotels and apartments are pretty personal. We all have our preferences as to where we want to be and how we want to spend our money. I only pass on the information that I have and I like, for others to add to their list when searching.

Enjoy your planning..that is half the fun...

Christina Jan 9th, 2009 05:45 AM

Perhaps she gets to rent so many that others do not because she spends so much time promoting them on this website, which is obviously free advertising for them. You don't have to be an employee to gain from advertising for a company, I'm quite sure they are aware of these threads started specifically to promote their apartments.

gracejoan3 Jan 9th, 2009 06:00 AM

Christina,

There are so many of us who have stayed in a particular hotel or apartment for a great many years..possibly you have one. St Cirq, I think has a special one..others, too. It is often expressed by them.

I express my personal preferences, too. I have mentioned other apt. sites that I have found to be good. The PP apartments are also in a locaation that I prefer to be in. The combination of the apartments and the location is great..for me!

Again, are we not to pass on requested information to those asking? I repeat the same apartments..others repeat the same apartments and/or hotels, too.

Enjoy....
