elsiejune,
Your reservations have been made! Yes, just little old me in this big place. Sure knock on the door or check to see if they are on their little patio. Who knows, you might run into some great neighbors! This is a great spot to come with some friends, and/or family. A good floor plan with great bathrooms when there are many. a bientot... Joan |
Maybe someone can help me, I was looking at the romanee for august and first there was a different website for it than pp. A woman told me she was the owner but pp could handle the reservations. i went back to pp and heard from someone named michelle? not madelyn? then my travel insurance (AAA) said they wouldnt cover anything rental by pp? anyone know what's up?
Joan, can you post any pix of the place? You seem to have stayed in most of them? |
michelle handled my reservation for Meursault, which i will be staying in June...Madelyn is the lady boss of PP i think and Michelle is one of their reservation personnel. had a very pleasant experience liaising with her...
not sure abt the travel insurance though the pics f all the properties available under PP may be viewed at www.parisperfect.com |
Thanks everyone, PP did send me a response to clear things up. I never travel without full protection anymore after a bad experience in Roma. We have now gone with a hotel but will consider PP next time.

Travel/trip insurance covers whatever you want it to cover. www.insuremytrip.com is the one many of us use. You can put in the total amount you want covered, medical etc. Your choice.
Taryn and Michelle will handle your reservations. They have all the information and take care of everything. I don't tkae interior pictures of the apartments, as the ones on their website really would be difficult to improve upon. Hopefully all your questions have been answered... a bientot.... Joan |
Madelyn and all the staff at PP have been very helpful. Thank you to those on this forum too, especially gracejoan3.
PP is not at fault. It was my particular insurance co. and there was miscommunication plus I was worried about previus experience. The PP site is great and the staff have been helpful and kind. Nothing but good things. I will book with them in the future. Just want to clear up for everyone. |
I'm set to arrive in Paris on Nov 3rd and will depart on Dec. 14th.
Others have their reservations for this time of year? I was there last year the first half of Dec. staying in the Cotes du Rhone. We did enjoy walking across the Seine and strolling up George V with all the decorations and then on to Champs Elysees. It was beautiful. Looking forward to it again.... Joan |
Joan...
I've placed the Meursault apartment on hold today for a week at the end of May 2010. I'm going to book tonight, but had a quick question for you if you don't mind. It will be me and my mom staying in the apartment. We are a mother and adult daughter duo. I'd planned to use the sofa bed, but in one of the pictures it looks like a portion of the sofa bed is very close to the mezzanine post. My question to you is, is there enough room for the sofabed to be pulled out? It could just be the way the picture was taken, but I wanted to ask you since you've stayed in the apartment. Thanks for any input you can give! |
lowcountryislander,
You will love the Meursault! The views are fantastic. The sofa is one that easily flips open..no removing cushions etc. The post is not a problem. Must be the way the picture looks. I will have to take a look. I climbed the ladder and used the bed up there. A good rail for it. I thought it was sort of fun! I will be in Paris for the month of May, arriving May 2 amd departing May 30. Cafe Max is below in the bldg. next door. Valco, the owner lives in the apt. one floor below the Meursault apt. Le Florimond is one block away. Pasoc's a block away around corner in other direction. You ae between Ecole Militaire and La Tour Maubourg Metros. Chez Les Anges, La Cuisine restaurants beyond La. Tour Maubourg. Rue. Cler the other direction...very convenient area. Joan |

Thanks so much for the quick response! I have salivated over your Paris trip reports and when we started looking at places to stay I knew I wanted a PP apartment just from your high recommendations! Last year mom and I were in Paris for just 3 days at the beginning of a group tour and now we want to go back and spend more time there...alas it will only be a week next May, but we are looking forward to it...even though it's still a year away! I love all your restaurant reviews too...mom and I are "budding" foodies, so we are always interested in reading about other Fodorite's restaurant experiences! We will be in Paris May 22-May 29, 2010, so it looks like we will be there the same time as you...would love to meet for a drink, or dinner if our schedules permit...but that can all be arranged much closer to when we will be there! I've got 2 domestic trips and a week in Rome in October in various planning stages for the rest of this year! |
LowCountryIslander,
Sounds good. We will have to try to get together. Do one of the Constant restaurants, perhaps. Use my travel email address: [email protected] and we can keep in touch for next spring. I will be going the first of Nov. for 6 weeks, too. Taryn and Michelle will take good care of you with the reservations. They will send you tons of reading material to digest. Joan |
For those who do enjoy following when new apartments are added, I have been watching for these two new ones that I knew were in the works. I think they look great..could stay in either without a problem!
The names are Chablis and Clairette on their website. Joan |
Hi Joan,
I had a preview of Clairette while in Paris earlier this month. It is a lovely flat in the same building as Champagne. Very lovely decorating, with a compact kitchen. I'm sure you would enjoy it as it's right in the middle of all the Bourdonnais/St.Dominique action. EJ ((#)) |
Hi elsiejune,
Yes, there are now 5 apts that they have in that building. It is a great locations. There are so many that they have all around there. It will probably be apopular one with the floorplan. LowCountryIslander..you might want to take a look, too. You can change, if you wanated to. Both Clairette and Meursault have great views..decisions, decisions.... Joan |
Joan...
Thanks for the tip...I did check out the new apartments when I saw your post earlier today. I wondered about changing...but I think we'll stick with the Meursault. |
LowCountryIslander,
The Meursault has beautiful views. The huge window looking over all of Paris with the ET right there, all the time! You will like it. Joan |
My daughter and I just returned from a week in Paris. We stayed at the Cote du Rhone and absolutely loved it!

Nice apartment. I was the first to stay in it upon completion last December. A very comfortable stop with great views of the Eiffel Tower and the Royald Monaco apartment across the street. I'm sure you visited the Boulangerie across the street and probably dined down the street at Au Bon Accueil. You had buses outside your door and the Parc du Champ de Mars, along with walking across the Seine to the top of the line shopping. The only way to help with post Paris depression is to start planning your next trip. There are now two new ones...the charming Chablis studio that has both a tub and a walk-in shower. It is located in same building as the Cote du Rhone. Also, the new one bedroom Clairette, with the great views of the ET. Great location. Joan |
Joan,
I am planning a trip to Paris with my teenage daughters in January and the PP apartments seem suitably romantic for their first trip overseas. Do you think three people in Mersault will be murdering each other after 11 days? Should I bite the bullet and pay for a two bedroom like Cotes du Rhone? misscate |
