Don't know where you can purchase one, but you should be able to print one out from http://www.metropla.net/. You should also be able to find one in any good guide book.

I have ordered several maps from [email protected]
Jeff King is the man's name and he runs a map specialty store somewhere in Dallas.
The best, most complete map of Paris is the huge Michelin spread that is known as Michelin #12, with a street index.

The Michelin #7 map is smaller, but still adequate. I do not recall the costs, but the #12 model is not cheap.
You will not, however, find a better map of Paris.
Both maps have good subway guides.
I also picked up a couple of free maps after I got to Paris that I have since lost. I used my big map to mark the freebies, and those were the ones I took on my daily roounds. The big one stayed in my room.

I got one on this side of the pond at Barnes and Noble, but maps are free almost everywhere in Paris, we got a one at the hotel (Flurie) that was better than the one I bought.

Enjoy Paris . . Rich

Run to the nearest Barnes & Noble or Borders (unfortunately big chains are the ones who seem to carry) and get the Paris Streetwise map (excellent foldable, plastic metro map included). This map should be issued with every ticket to Paris....

As stated above, they are free in the lobby of every hotel.

However, I find that the writing on most of them (also the ones in book stores in NA) is too small. The exception is the one with an Air France advertisement on one side and Galeries Lafayette on the other.

The city map is nice and big and the metro map is 7" by 7" and very readable.

If you'd like I can scan the Metro map and eMail it to you.

At www.ratp.fr, you can download a beautiful Paris metro map in pdf (Adobe Acrobate) format. Great for folding up and carrying in your pocket. You can also download the bus routes map and the individual bus routes as well. L'Opentour information is also available. If you want to plan your routes in advance, enter your starting and ending points and whether you wish to travel by bus or metro, and you'll receive directions and times.

I guess that's a better idea than scanning.
