Paris dinner reservations made by hotel

I sent an email (en francais) to the Paris hotel where we will stay, 2 weeks ahead, requesting dinner reservations at 4 restaurants we listed. (Only one of these, Guy Savoy, appears to need far advance booking.) They very cordially responded but, without explanation, have booked us at 4 entirely different places. Does anyone know these restaurants?

I don't know when your travel is or the name of your hotel. I can tell you that every hotel that I have stayed in, and have asked them to make reservations for me, the reservations have all been made.

You may not have made them early enough, or the restaurant may not be open when you asked. I think you need to ask the hotel for the rreason.

I know Thoumieux, in the 7the arrondissement. It's a classic, bustling brasserie with some good dishes (cassoulet comes to mind), but it is often filled with a lot more tourists than French, if that matters to you.

But I think I would make another inquiry if you have a list of restaurants you already selected. Perhaps the hotel got you mixed up with another customer? That seems odd to me to offer you a completely different set of restaurants, especially when four were involved.

Our experience at Thomieux (the only one I'm familiar with) was less than stellar. Service was pretty attitudinal and the cassoulet that night was very ordinary, in our opinion.

Maybe they just used the e-mail to the last customer as a template and forgot to switch the restaurant names? I would write them back.
