Packing suggestions

Will be traveling for 21 days throughout Turkey late September to mid October- can anyone suggest the best types of shoes for lots of walking and best jackets for this time of year.

My husband and I love our Merrells. We have worn them through Italy and the US on our travels. Most comfortable shoes we have.

I agree with travelallover. Get merrell walking shoes you are ready to go. October is cold is some part of Turkey like Cappadocia and Ankara so if you get some extra sweater you will be OK

Have a nice trip in Turkey

I take my Nike sneakers, the ones I use at the gym for days with non-stop walking. These serve me better than any walking shoes I have found (though I agree Merrells are nice).

I would pack various "layers" with an outer jacket being a windbreaker type.

Is that "walking" as in "going from museum to museum" or "walking" as in "climbing Mt Ararat"?
