Oh, good idea for a thread! A few days ago, I posted a response to a Paris thread, but I accidentally said that the restaurant was in the SEVENTH arrondisement, when I really meant the SIXTH!! Please note that for future reference when reading my old thread.

Anyone else make any mistakes in recent threads? We can all post them here.

Mistake Maker, for info on Loondon see Elvira's posts.

"Me", I knew you were wrong when you said it, but "o" is wrong too, the restaurant is actually in the 14th. There are no restaurants in the 6th.

And it is New-swine-stein. The place where you buy those plastic steins with the pictures of pigs on them.

I made a mistake in a post I did in 1999 also (must have been a bad year). I meant Italy when I said China. Thanks for all the helpful suggestions folks, but I couldn't find any of those temples or the "great wall" when I got to Tuscany.

A couple of years ago I screwed up here royally by directing a traveler to Monet's home in Givenchy rather than Giverney. A poster named Diane brought the error to my attention. That prompted me to respond as follows:
Since many of you AAR not CLERVAUXant, I'd BEST explain Diane's posting. SOMME TIME ago, I ERD by calling Giverney "Givenchy" INN resPONSe to a Fodor's POSTA. Hee, HEE, what a MUSTEK, readers must have thought, and I don't blame THEM. NOTA BRAINE in his head. As dumb as a THUM. AHA, they thought: Fowler, a GOLDEN AGER, IZE a SCHEER LEATHERHEAD. They SEE he's a real SCILLY LOUNY with no SENS despite the word TECH in his address. He should give up his MARTIGNYs and CHAMPAGNE and switch to AQUA LONGA and BOSCO.

Enough! Does anyone know where Hee, Mustek, Them, Aha, Tech and Louny are?

I am still cringing with embarrassment after I advised one poster that there was not a rail station at Villefranche and the only way to get into Nice was by bus. Someone else wrote straight after me to say there is indeed a rail station. I felt such a fool and still do!
