OK I know I have a lot of nerve asking about Frommers message board here but...

I notice a lot of the same people use both boards so maybe someone can tell me why I find that board so confusing. It might say there are 15 messages (1 new) but when I click on, there's only 3-4 and sometimes not even on the same topic. I find it really confusing. Am I doing something wrong? I'd like to gather as much information as possible so would like to access that board but I just don't find it user friendly at all.

Look for the button that says SEE ALL MESSAGES. They contract the thread when it gets long.

I find that those boards don't stay on topic. for example, the first question might be "can someone recommend a hotel in Madrid for under $100"..by the end of the messages, there's questions about Malaga, or trains along Andalucia etc. etc. it's quite frustrating. There also seems to be more questions on the threads than answers.

Busted: A year or two ago Frommer's was an excellent source of information and I visited almost daily. I have no idea what happened, but as noted in the previous message the threads digress and become confusing. Maybe it's the people using them not knowing how to use them. I don't know, but I seldom go there anymore.

To get all messages you will note a post and following it, it might say 3 previous message for example. There is a place to click to request all messages, or you can click and lay them out in an outline sort of affair and then click on each message individually.

Thankfully I found this site and have pretty much abandoned Frommer's.

j

My suggestion is that you avoid posts
that have too many replies. If I'm in a hurry I avoid those.

Of all the forums on various subjects I visit, I find FOdor's to be by far the easiest to navigate. I only go to Frommers if i'm looking for something specific
