Nimes or Avignon to Arles beautiful road, which one
A few years ago going to Arles by car we saw a beautiful stretch of the road with big plane trees on both sides. They were big so they covered the road.
I d like to come back there on my next trip to Provence this month, but I can t remember where is this road.
I think it is from Nimes or Avignon to Arles.
Can you help me. Thanks

Believe it or not, there is a movement to cut down these trees because they have a nasty habit of getting in your way while speeding along or passing someone...
Try the road northeast of Aix between Meyrargues and Peyrolles. In the summer there are huge fields of sunflowers on either side and plane trees that never seem to end.

Cut down those trees! They're crazy. Maybe, instead, they should consider enforcing the speed limits so those French drivers don't run into the beautiful trees. It's these plane trees throughout Provence that make the National roads so delightful and beautiful.

For those not familiar with the beautiful alleés there's a photo here but does not do justice to their beauty, the mottled bark looks like camoflage cloth. In 2001, many dies due to a fungus problem but they've been working on this.
