New attraction/hotel in Rotterdam
Rotterdam is home to the SS Rotterdam. The old Holland America line ship has been refurbished and is now a hotel, restaurants and open for tours, or weddings even.
It opened today. You can stay in one of the original cabins or suites.
The site is only in Dutch at the moment but it should be available in English shortly.

To book a room go to https://www.cruisehotel.nl/en/sleep/ which is in English, and also tells you about the restaurants and the history of the ship.

Dank u wel for this - i spent a wonderful day in Rotterdam recently and though this city hardly has any of the old-world veneer to it that we Americans like in European cities - being completely obliterated in WWII because of its port and rail importance- the city boasts some of the finest avant-garge modern architecture in the world and also some really sweet museums - i hit about five museums and all were really interesting-so do not overlook Rotterdam IMO - the Manhattan on the Maas because of its tall buildings.

If you want somewhere else unusual to stay in Rotterdam then the Stayokay hostel is in the Piet Blom cube houses there. Maybe a night in luxury on the Rotterdam and a night in a cube house?

Or just visit the museum house:

Wow, that looks like quite an experience. Here's the link if anyone is interested and has a few hundred Euro to spare:
