Need help with ideas

My family of 7 would like to go to either Italy, Spain, Costa Rica but are open to other suggestions during the month of May or June. Would like to stay in one place due to timeshare lodging. Children ages are 17, 15, 13, 11, and 7. I have previously been to Costa Rica and Spain, both trips involved a lot of car travel and I am not sure I want to do that with the kids. The trip would be for 7 days and I am not sure what place would be best with a central location that we are able to go to sleep in the same bed. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

An interesting question. I am curious about 'timeshare lodging'. With four teenagers to entertain, you probably want a lot of options.

You might research Rome and the daytrip possibilities. Consider Ostia Antica and Orvieto for daytrips. Pompeii is long day but doable.
Other daytrip possibilities: Tivoli, Assissi, Perugia, Spoleto and Gubbio (I don't know about rail service to each of these. I think most have rail service.)

Rome itself needs a few days to a week (depending on teenagers attention span)

Have a good triip.

Why don't you rent yourself a nice villa in Tuscany or Umbria and settle in - a big place with a pool that's within striking distance of some of the area's well-known cities and hill towns. Then take day trips but come home and relax at the end of the day.

I agree - I think you would enjoy Italy. Depending on where you go, you wouldn't necessarily need a car. Just take the train and public transport around.

Timeshare lodging? If you're restricted by timeshares, then we can't really help you. Only you know which timeshares you have access to.

I assume you are hoping to trade through RCI or similar. The best time share properties should be nailed down months and months in advance.

If timesharing is what you want - then you are better off putting your week(s) in and seeing what you can get before maling definite plans.
