>>We have two nights in Uzès and five in Pézenas (late September/early Ocotber). We will see the Pont du Gard on our drive from our place in Bonnieux and drive through the Camargue, visit Aigues Mortes when we travel from Uzès to Pézenas, where we will take trips to Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, Pont du Diable and numerous other places I have on my list.
I'm late commenting here, but just wanted to add that one of my favorite trips included a week's stay in Nizas, a tiny village about 15 minutes north of Pézenas. We enjoyed our daytrips to the Camargue and Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert. I love the Cloisters in New York and was glad to see the source in StG.
After visiting St. Guilhem, we went to take a look at the Cirque de Navacelles. http://www.cirquenavacelles.com/?lang=en_us
We looked down from the rim above and didn't descend to the village at the bottom.
Also very much liked visiting Sète on the coast. It's a real working fishing port. Not a tourist destination. I believe Kerouac did a report on it awhile ago. Also it is said that the best oysters in France come from Bouzigues nearby.
And, as a fan of Molière, I loved visiting Pézenas, an important site in his history. Nice statue there.
Looking forward to another great trip report. Bon voyage!

The Gorges de l'Ardeche is a beautiful place to visit, and the Aven d'Orgnac is amazing. We went before it was possible to get the elevator up from the bottom of the vast cave; we had to climb up about 500 steps, looking enviously at the young kids who ran past. The light displays with music at the bottom are very, very French.
