Metro pass

Should I prepurchase a metropass in the US or get one in Paris? I was told it was cheaper to buy in the States but that doest seem to make sense to me.

Very easy and simple to buy in the metro stations in Paris....don't even consider buying one here and trying to keep up with it, not to mention the extra expense.

Anne

Depends on how long you'll be there. We found we do better buying carnets of tickets to use on either the Metro or bus.

Prepurchasing a metro pass in the US is a needless waste of money. It costs significantly more, and it is so incredibly easy to get one when you get to Paris there is simply no reason to get it ahead of time. Same thing for the Museum Pass.
