epaulino,
You could first try the El Corte Inglés supermarket in Sol, but don't know if they'll have a bottle.
It's a liquer, a white lightening, a type of aguardiente made in the north. I buy orujo in Galicia, Cantabria and all over Asturias, particularly in Potes and Llanes. Better than the orujo de hierbas is the orujo de café (or is it orujo de crema?), a creamy concoction that tastes to me like Baily's Irish Creme.
But...in Madrid in the Barrio de Salamanca shopping district, there's a delicatessen type store that specializes in Asturian, Galician and Leonés cuisine: empanadas, fabas (broad Asturian white beans for making fabada), breads, Asturian cider, licores, aguardiente, cabrales cheese. all that stuff.
The store is "Méndez" on Ayala 65 (metro is Lista).
I make a bee line straight to Méndez when I get a craving for making good Northern Spain fare.
If you don't find it there, they'll sure know where to send you.
You may even find it at Lavinia, Europe's second largest wine store (the new Lavinia in Paris, same owners, maybe a tad larger-the Madrid store was their first). They have virtually everything drinkable in Spain.
Another place would be "Asturianos de Sanabria" on Fernando el Católico 64 (metro: Argülles or Moncloa)
Hope this helps.
Olga can tell you where to find it in Seville.

Hi EPaulino,
you can look for 'Orujo de Hierbas', also known as 'Licor de Hierbas' in many stores. It is a strong destilated licour. My favorite one is 'Rua Vieja' because is one of the softers (only 30?), and the bottle is green.
As Maribel said, you will find it the supermarket section at El Corte Inglés.
You will pay about 6 EUR per bottle.
Si alguno consigue que el principe se quede con su sobrina o hija, yo me quedo con la periodista que es muy guapa.

hi Elvira,
Read all about , "orujo, el licor de los peregrinos" here:
www.jacobeo.net/textos/otros/orujo.htm
The last orujo de café we bought to take back to friends in the US, but alas, it never made it beyond Cantabria! Ymm...
In Galicia it's used to make a queimada.
Now, if josemacall would please reveal to us a great gallego restaurant in Madrid for a good queimada...

I am so sorry, I'm not a 'queimada' lover. It is too strong for me, but I can remember a wonderful night at in 'Ribeira do Miño', in Tribunal area.
Great seafood if you like, and queimada burning in your eyes. Not a touristic restuarant, so the atmosphere is authentic.
I think that some years ago they didn't accept credit cards, and the price was about 2000 pesetas for a main course. Nowadays maybe 15 Eur, so the total bill will be up 30 Eur pp.
