How about Betty1, also? She was planning another group trip to France in early summer, I believe.

Ca va, kismetchimera; et vous?

Mimi, how wonderful to be off to Provence in scant weeks.

I'd better start planning another trip.

Salut, tout le monde!

Funniest thing... I was googling to try to find out if “my” Paris apartment was still listed somewhere and discovered my own post on my 2003 trip. Well, I couldn’t help but read through my deathless prose again and saw all your wonderful comments and thought, “Gee, I miss those Fodorites--those Franco-filles!”

As I perused the latest threads, I noticed one lamenting the absence of our dear Capo and thought to myself, “Gee, I wonder if anyone has missed me.” Ever optimistic, I did a search, and THERE IT WAS: Where is LVSue?

Here I am back from the land of those paralyzed by the election year. Time for some fun planning and thinking and yearning for France! Good to see that you all are still hanging in there.

I missed Betty’s trip report from last year, and now she has probably done another one. Mimi has been to Provence and eaten at her favorite restaurants. Grandmere, have you planned a trip? And Kismet, how’s your handsome Texan with the great sense of humor doing?

Good to be back!

(I wrote this before Thanksgiving, but Fodors had my wrong email address; I didn't have the password they had and couldn't log on; I've finally gotten all that straightened out!)

So good to hear from you again, LVSue! We need your input on some issues!

As for travel, I was in Paris last March with SIL, a first-timer, and she is a dedicated francophile now.

This coming May, my husband and I and my cousin and his wife are going to Normandy and Paris; this is their (cousins) first time, also.

And what are your travel plans?

Sue

LVSue, Glad to see you're here. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have known that Claude Bolling performs at Le Petit Journal the last Tuesday of every month! My husband & I really enjoyed that concert 2-1/2 years ago. Seems like it's time to go hear him again!

Yikes! The gang's all here! SusanP, I'm so glad you enjoyed Claude Bolling. It was probably 10 years ago that we saw him, but it sure was a special night.

Cigale, I have indeed been among the missing. Mainly I think because this site is so addictive!

Grandmere, I have yet to get my SIL to Paris, but she's still working. When she's retired, look out! I'm buried in AARP TaxAide work right now (a noble volunteer effort), but am planning my reward: a trip to Paris in May! When will you be there? I'm hoping to go around the 1st.

So I'll miss you, Kismet. Your trip sounds fabulous!

Any ideas on an apartment? I think I need a place to kick back and put up my feet.
