Avignon to St.Remy by taxi

I am bit concerned, I speak no French. I need to catch a taxi from Avignon to St.Remy.
I am worried that the taxi driver might not be able to find the location.

Do taxi drivers speak at least some English in south of France? I apologize for not speaking French.

Some do, some don't. But it's their job to understand place names and get you there. Just make sure you know how to pronounce where you're going.

Why don't you get a friend who speaks French to write down what you want to say. Most French people can read.

I disagree, most French people can't read, nor can they shave legs or armpits

My friend missed his flight to Paris and had to take a taxi from Avignon Train station to Maillane (5 minutes from St Remy by himself. He forgot to bring our rental house address or phone number, and so he wrote on a piece of paper Bambou (name of our villa) and Maillane snd gave that to the taxi drive who spoke no english, drove into the tiny village, stopped by a bar and a grocers and managed to find us. He give me a semi- stern lecture about my guest not having the full address of the place. But it all ended well, and only cost 35 euros.
