We are flying on AA from US to CDG, then transferring to Orly and flying Air France to Avignon (yes, I know the TGV to Avignon probably would have made more sense). Can we check our luggage through to Avignon, or will we need to go through customs in Paris? And, can you give me any information on how we get from CDG to Orly? I understand there is a shuttle, but AA couln't provide much info on where to pick it up.

I don't know if you can check luggage thru from CDG to Orly, but I would hazard a guess that you cannot do so.

I have found that there is an Air France coach ("les Cars&quot that goes from CDG direct to Orly; it's Line 3.

American Airlines arrives at Terminal 2. Here are some websites with details about AA, and Air France bus.

Air France site says bus leaves from Terminal B, porte 6 and arrives at Orly at porte D.

I may be wrong but in my experience when you arrive at CDG you will have to claim your luggage, go thru customs and then recheck it.There will be no need to go thru security again ..the rechecking is done within the arrival terminal.

Sorry, I hit post too soon! I really do think you will have to collect your bags and take them with you since you are changing airports. In any event, It certainly would be safer than relying on the airlines for a transfer from CDG to Orly!
