London on the weekend

We will be arriving in London on Fri. am the 26th of April. We are going to Paris the next Monday. Is there anything we should do on our first day, that would be closed on the weekend, or are most things open.

All tourist attractions are open on weekends; Some restaurants are closed on Sundays; Most theatres are closed on Sundays; Many shops/stores are open all weekend - the primary exceptions are Harrods and the really upscale designer boutiques, jewelers, antique dealers and book / print sellers

Madame Tussaud's is open on Sunday am, get there early to avoid long line. Some attractions are closed on Sundays. On Friday or Saturday, do Tower of London and maybe British Museum if you like that sort of thing. Kensington Palace is nice to tour also.
